What exactly are we?
Most of us move through life identifying with our thoughts, emotions, and experiences — yet very few of us ever learn how the systems within us actually work. Nobody hands us an owner's manual for being human.
This workshop explores what Doug calls the Human Operating System: the relationship between consciousness, the mind, the body, and the nervous system — and how they shape our perceptions, behaviors, relationships, and well-being.
Rather than viewing the nervous system as broken or in need of fixing, we'll explore it as an adaptive system that is constantly learning, responding, and seeking safety. Through discussion, guided exercises, and experiential practices, participants learn practical ways to influence their internal state — breath, movement, awareness, connection.
